Christopher Susperreguy: “SHAD represents exactly our values: innovation, design and real solutions for motorcycle riders”

Bikesport Marketing Director Christopher Susperreguy tells us all about the reality of the motorcycle gear market in Chile.

We’d like to know a little more about Bikesport’s history in Chile. How did the company get started?

It began 15 years ago under the guidance of our founding partner Jean Pablo Susperreguy, who after a motorcycle accident, realized that there was a need to have quality gear for all levels of riders. That’s how Bikesport came about, with the goal of offering motorcycle riders the full experience, combining motorcycles, gear and accessories from internationally-known brands.

From the beginning, the company focused on specialization, after-sales service and really understanding the needs of the Chilean market, growing in a sustainable manner and consolidating ourselves as a leader in the sector.

How many points of sale do you have in Chile?

We currently have 6 points of sale of our own, strategically located in Chile, as well as a strong digital presence that complements our physical operation. Today we offer omnichannel coverage throughout the market. Our website www.bikesport.cl is one of the most visited in Chile, and our products can be found in the main Marketplaces nationwide.

When did Bikesport’s relationship with SHAD begin?

Our relationship with SHAD began in 2016, motivated by the need to incorporate a leading brand in luggage and accessory solutions that was aligned with our quality and design standards.

What do you consider SHAD’s potential to be in your country?

SHAD has great potential in Chile. The motorcycle fleet continues to grow, especially in the urban, adventure and touring segments, where SHAD has a very solid and differentiated offering in terms of functionality, design and price.

What would you highlight about SHAD’s products?

I would mainly stress the quality manufacturing, the continuous innovation, European design and the excellent price-quality ratio. In addition, the vast portfolio makes it possible to cover many different types of motorcycle riders and uses.

How well-known is the SHAD brand in Chile?

SHAD is a brand that is well-positioned and recognized in the Chilean motorcycle sector, especially among the best informed and most demanding riders. With constant marketing and communications efforts, their recognition can continue to grow in important ways.

What sales or promotional recommendation would you make for the rest of SHAD’s distributors in America?

My recommendation is to promote the brand not only from the product aspect, but also from experience: clear in-store displays, sales team training, educational digital content and a strategy focused on the real use of the product.  SHAD has a very powerful storytelling potential that is worth communicating.

At Bikesport, we believe in long-term partnerships, built on trust, quality and a shared vision of the market. SHAD represents exactly these values: innovation, design and real solutions for motorcycle riders. Our commitment is to continue to develop the brand in Chile in a serious, consistent manner, introducing their products to more users and strengthening their position as a leader in luggage and accessories in the region.
