Almer Helmet: “SHAD is known in Indonesia for its high quality and durability”

In this article, we will get to know our main client in Indonesia, one of the countries with the most motorcycles in the world. It’s Filsoni, which is very active in the social media as Almer Helmet, and in charge of the SHAD Store in Jakarta.

We want to know a little bit about your story. How did your company begin?

In 2016, I was working as a bank employee, but I decided to open an online store selling helmets, Almer Helmet (Almer is my son’s name). One of my suppliers offered me the chance to sell SHAD products.

In 2021, I left banking to open my first brick-and-mortar store. During the pandemic, I barely sold any helmets, so I focused on selling SHAD products, mainly products for high horsepower motorcycles, a niche market that the competitors were not covering in Indonesia.

The growth potential is huge, especially on the island of Java, with the main markets in the Jakarta, Bekasi, Bogor and Tangerang areas.

You are the manager of the SHAD Store in Jakarta. Do you have any other points of sale around the country?

Besides the SHAD Store in the Kemang district, I have two more stores in east Jakarta.

What would you highlight about SHAD products?

SHAD products are known in Indonesia for their high quality and durability. Customers focus on their elegant and modern design and appreciate that security is a priority in their design.

The fact that SHAD products are compatible with several different motorcycle segments is very positive, since it allows users to choose according to their needs.

I would also like to point out that SHAD offers a guarantee on its products that comes with full coverage for replacement parts.

What do you think SHAD could do to continue to improve?

It’s hard to say. Maybe the key would be to increase the number of products available, especially for cases and bags.

How well known is the SHAD brand in Indonesia?

I have to say that over the last 4 years, since the launch of the Terra Aluminum family, the SHAD brand has received enormous attention from Indonesian consumers.

You’ve created the SHAD Riders Community in Indonesia. How many members does it have and what goal have you set for it?

We have around 50 active members. In theory, we were thinking of actions aimed at my own clients, but now the community has been opened up to any SHAD product user We organize outings and other activities, and we’ve started to cooperate with other communities, such as Honda Forza Club Indonesia, BMW Motorrad Indonesia and Kawasaki Versys Owner Indonesia.
